This theme is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the innovations and major challenges that the pharmacy profession will face in the post-epidemic era.

02⎪New insights on the COVID-19 Pandemic

Apart from the above-mentioned topic regarding the integration of pharmacy and technology, COVID-19 Pandemic has also brought an enormous innovation to the healthcare system, especially in the development of new drugs, mental health, communicable diseases, and even in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

03⎪Pharmacists’ Play

As pharmacy students and future pharmacists, we should be aware of the current healthcare issues faced by the Asia Pacific region, such as aging population and long-term care, Health Technology Assessment, Universal Health Coverage, and many more.

04⎪Personal Development

In addition to academic topics, APPS also offers a session of workshops on personal strengths such as Influence building, international engagement, and life-long learning.

05⎪Culture & Tradition

This theme is designed to allow delegates from all over the Asia Pacific region a chance to experience Taiwanese culture and to learn about traditional Taiwanese herbal medicine. Most importantly, we designed a DIY session for our participants to experience hands-on, not being limited by the barrier of virtual meeting!

Site visits

APPS 2022 will be conducting site visits of pharmaceutical companies. The site visit aims to introduce Taiwan’s advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing process to our participants. Through the site visits, pharmacy students will get to learn about Taiwan’s healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Participants will be given an insight on various functions and systems in the industry as well.

Public Health Campaign

In addition to lectures, a dynamic learning course will also be arranged for the participants to join the promotion activities in person to promote public awareness of specific public health issues such as dengue fever, AIDS, mental health, STDs, etc. The activity is in various forms, participants will be either in the slogan designing brainstorming, or directly contact with the public in the interactive activity.
